6 month internship / full time

Location: GPI is based in the Netherlands. To comply with Dutch laws and regulations, GPI can only accept candidates that have a Dutch social security number (BSN) or can obtain it at short notice (EU and Swiss nationals could be possible - although this is highly situation-dependent). Greenpeace International is looking for an Employee Wellbeing, Engagement, and Analytics Intern! During this internship, you will play a key role in supporting the Wellbeing & Engagement specialists in our People & Culture team by supporting the analysis of feedback and data from initiatives that promote staff wellbeing across Greenpeace International (GPI) and the global network. You will contribute to several projects, including helping with the analysis of multiple engagement surveys identifying trends, insights, and opportunities for improvement.

This internship is a full-time position (40 hours per week) for a period of six months. The starting date will be mid January, ideally the 12th of January 2026. Interns receive 800 euros net as a monthly stipend. We have an office in Amsterdam and the internship can be a combination of virtual and in-person from the GPI office.

In this internship you will:

  • Contribute to the Wellbeing & Engagement function by supporting the analysis of feedback and data on current initiatives that support the wellbeing of staff and crew.

  • Actively support various projects, including helping with the analysis of several engagement surveys.

  • Support the coordination of multiple engagement surveys happening across the global network, pulling out key areas of alignment and possible opportunities for benchmarking.

  • Acquire hands-on experience in data-management, cleaning, and processing, developing skills in dashboarding tools and data storytelling.

  • Familiarise yourself with tools like SQL, Google Looker Studio, and Culture Amp, applying this knowledge practically within the internship.

Job requirements

What we’re looking for:

Remember no one has every skill or experience needed for this role and you’ll have the opportunity to learn a lot from the team. We believe someone who has a few of these is well suited to excel in this role:

  • A degree in Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field with an emphasis on HR or Organisational Development, ideally with strong knowledge in statistics and analytics (or equivalent experience).

  • Demonstrable interest in HR and a desire to develop knowledge and experience further in this area.

  • Some prior knowledge or experience in the area of Employee Wellbeing & Engagement is beneficial.

  • Some prior knowledge or experience in the area of People Analytics is beneficial.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or the Google suite, particularly Excel/Google spreadsheet, and experience in basic statistical tools.

  • Ability to take initiative and research independently, with the capacity to analyse and present key findings.

  • Organised and with great attention to detail.

  • Good communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively both in writing and verbally.

  • Demonstrable commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion and ability to collaborate with cross-cultural teams

  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written and preferably one other language

  • Digitally literate: able to work with digital tools and online systems; willing and able to learn new ones

  • Flexible approach to working with colleagues across multiple time zones and open to international travel

  • Support for and belief in the core aims and values of Greenpeace
