permanent / full time - offered on 12 months contract initially, subject to local terms


Location: The successful candidate may be based in one of the following locations: Brazil, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, China, Taiwan, South Korea, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines, Australia, the Netherlands.*

We offer competitive NGO level salary and benefits, the specifics of which depend on location where the successful candidates will be based. We aim to share this information with candidates before reaching the offer stage.

*Other locations that have existing independent Greenpeace National/Regional organisations might be considered on a case by case basis, depending on the hosting capacity availability and compliance, however please note that we can not guarantee hosting ability in every location before we fully assess the situation.

In this key support role, you will serve as a subject matter expert on the areas of recruitment, candidate attraction, staffing approaches, and talent, skills, and workforce assessment and planning within the Greenpeace network.  The P&C Specialist provides technical knowledge and expertise to inform, engage, and align P&C practitioners and key stakeholders from across the 26 National and Regional Organisations (NROs) of the Greenpeace network. Through thought leadership, product and project management, and collaborative relationships, you will join a team of global P&C Specialists supporting the Global Services & Partnerships unit of the P&C department in reaching its goals to deliver high quality services to our network of P&C colleagues around the world.  You’ll be part of multi-functional and international teams, delivering just-in-time P&C expertise to the recruitment and talent challenges of our complex global network, while always centering justice, equity, diversity, inclusion, and safety (JEDIS) in everything we do.


The Global Services and Partnerships (GSP) team provides cross-cutting services to Greenpeace’s global network. It acts as a partner to the HR Directors and teams in the NROs, providing advice, resources, and coordination. In doing so, GSP ensures the continuous strengthening and alignment of the network, particularly in the areas of People and Culture. We deliver work in three functions: Network Relationships, P&C Specialists and Justice, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion and Safety.


The person we’re looking for is detail-oriented, collaborative, and proactive. Someone who can manage multiple priorities with professionalism, empathy, and care. If you believe in the power of people, culture, and organisational wellbeing to create systemic change—this role is for you.

In this role, you will:

  1. Support the design of the global employer brand, attraction and retention and workforce planning related strategies. 

  2. Support the team in building and maintaining a network of external specialists who P&C can rely on who are specialised in attracting/retention of  talent and workforce planning.

  3. Support testing new approaches and or initiatives and when successful design a plan to roll it out across the network.

  4. Support, and where requested, design and rollout approaches to share the expertise across the network, such as toolboxes, skillshares, guidelines, etc.

Job requirements

What we’re looking for:

Remember no one has every skill or experience needed for this role and you’ll have the opportunity to learn a lot from the team. We believe someone who can bring a strong mix of the following will be well suited to exceed in this role:

  • More than 4 years of experience in a recruitment and/or talent planning role, of which at least 1 year is in an international organisation

  • Knowledge of talent management and workforce planning models and emerging / leading practice in this specialist area

  • Experience in complex staffing environments, including: third-party employers, shared responsibility for employment arrangements and global talent pools

  • Experience coaching, mentoring, or guiding other P&C professionals through complex recruitment and talent planning work 

  • Proficiency in global hiring and candidate sourcing tools, including LinkedIn talent insights

  • Proven project management skills

  • Experience enhancing equity and inclusion outcomes in the talent management domain

  • Demonstrated adaptability, responsiveness and a solutions-focused approach with the ability to make considered decisions 

  • Curious, open approach to new opportunities or methodologies with a reflective style and learning by doing approach

  • Self confident, proactive, courage to speak up and/or respectfully disagree with others

  • Professional, self-leadership and self-management skills with a good attention to detail

  • Motivated to be part of, the Greenpeace mission 

  • Demonstrated emotional intelligence with empathy, kindness and caring people-focused approach

  • Professional level fluency in English - fluency in additional languages desirable
